Rejection is Redirection

“Rejection means you have to believe in the hope that you were once accepted, Rejection is the training ground for your purpose.” Pastor Everett.

Jeremiah1:5 “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born, I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”

The gift of rejection allows people to find you who you did not even know were looking for you. It allows us to view the roles we play in people’s lives. People face self- rejection, meaning viewing yourself as not enough because somebody is more. When someone is assigned to your life, they bring value, but we often gravitate towards people who do not see our value. Rejection permits bitterness and the cost of bitterness is expensive. Bitterness is the fruit of unresolved disappointments and the result of unprocessed pain. Pastor Everett said, “Bitterness will have people in your life (present) doing time for a crime that people in your past committed against you.” I am big on not carrying baggage from one relationship/friendship to the next. People do not realize they are hurting until they project that hurt on to someone else. It is not fair, but it is true. I have been rejected by so many people I love, but I never let that rejection stop me from being a good person, partner, and friend. So, my question to you is. How do you deal with rejection? Do you think rejection builds character or causes trauma? And how do we deal with trauma from rejection?
