To release means to allow or enable to escape from confinement; set free, to allow (something) to move, act, or flow freely.
Deuteronomy 15:1-2 says,
“At the end of every seven years you shall grant a release of debts. And this is the form of the release: Every creditor who has lent anything to his neighbor shall release it; he shall not require it of his neighbor or his brother, because it is called the LORD’s release.
Today someone very close to me came up with this idea to pray, write down and release everything that has been a hindrance in our lives. The idea came from a TikTok trend, but it was extremely therapeutic and freeing. We started with a prayer, took time to fill our balloons with words/ phrases and anything that we considered necessary to move forward in our healing journey. And ended in deep conversation about what this means to us and what is next for the future.
Do not get me wrong we are both women of God, but we also fall short (sin), because we are all human. The things I choose to release have plagued me for years, although through therapy I have come a long way I have so much more growth to do mentally, physically, and emotionally. But I do know I will decide my own destiny moving forward in all aspects of my life. Anything I blog about is not always my experience, my thoughts, or my feelings, I read, write and listen to things that motivate me to be my greatest self. “If God did not want me with this peace, he should not have told me I can have it.” -pastor Jonathan Everett. Hope this blog helps you to find your peace, your identity, and your happiness.
